Q.What is ground tackle

Your ship was aground or beaching. You then bring your anchor (usually kedge anchor) by open lifeboat and drop in deeper water. Kedge anchor and aft station winch are connected by warp. Then heave up that anchor by the winch so that your vessel shifts from aground position and refloats. This method is now only in oldies books and not practicable. Anyway, even you lost the anchor, you can refund it's purchase cost if you have the cargo onboard (for General average's sake). ????????
